Presentation Guidelines

Information on preparing your presentation:

Oral presentation

Oral presentations have been allocated 15 minutes for the presentation, plus 5 minutes for questions and answers. Presentations times will be strictly enforced.

Presenters should prepare a powerpoint (or similar) presentation of their paper. A laptop and projector will be provided if you bring your presentation on USB drive or CD. Your presentation should be loaded onto the laptop prior to the start of the session.

Powerpoint presentations uploaded before 18 November in EDAS will be set up on the laptop prior to the start of the conference. Alternatively, you may present using your own laptop.

Poster presentation

Poster presentations have been grouped in sessions. Posters may be up to A0 (portrait format) in size - 900 mm wide by 1200 mm high. Each poster presenter is expected to be beside their poster for an hour during the poster sessions to answer questions regarding their work.

Please do not just pin up your proceedings paper.

Poster presenters are also given up to 2 minutes to orally introduce their work (maximum of 2 powerpoint slides). These slides should be uploaded into EDAS before 18 November to enable them to be compiled into a single presentation for each session. (Note that it is impractical to use your own laptop for this presentation - poster introductions without prior slides uploaded will have to be given without visual aids.)
